Do you remember the old Victoria magazine? I used to devour the pictures of English country gardens…filled with wispy Lavender!
Thank you for visiting my little garden!

Lucky girl! I tried this in my garden so many times. It never grows the next year. Zone 3 is too darn cold I guess. My friend Alys at Gardening Nirvana has it all along her deck. I’d love to do that.
I’m Zone 4 and it’s a bit on the cold side too. I think the sheltered spot helps….I am going to try leaving some in large pots this year too. They can winter over in the greenhouse then. I’ll gladly share pictures with you!
You will never regret it

Yes I do, those English Country gardens were always a delight. Lavender is just my best, it has so many uses.
You’ve inspired me to try growing lavender again. Is this a perennial, because mine did not come back.
Good morning Audrey….yes, it’s a perennial. Mine are 3 years old now…I think the sheltered area they are in really helps.

I am planning a trip to Austin in May and I am told there are lavender farms an hour outside the city. You know where I will be!
Fingers crossed that mine survived another winter!
I can’t wait for it to bloom again…
I said that for years myself. I just planted my first bush this past fall
